Argggghhh! I hate the spam comments!
I know I read a post somewhere in the blog forum about how to stop the damned spam comments since the upgrade, but frack if I can remember how to do it.
I may have to go check comment settings.

UPDATE: June 2, 2008.
The spammers have invaded once again. Changed comment settings to not allow any hyperlinks at all… maybe that will fix it.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackIt looks like you changed your settings. If you would like to open it back up to guests, I think I now have a system in place that will prevent spam from automatic systems. You will still have a problem when a human types it in. Nothing much to do about that.
Thank you! I removed the necessity for “approval of comments” before posting, but kept the one that requires people to be registered and logged in.

I almost hate to point this out, but the great thing about getting lots of spam comments is that it can indicate your blog is getting good scores in the search engines. Seriously, the spam bots use sites like Google to spot blogs and forum systems they are familure with.
Okay, the last two days something kicked up the spam monster, and I’m getting like two hundred spam a day. What gives?
